Phillies to Honor Pottstown High Teacher Moore

DESIGNATED A FRONTLINE HERO – On opening day (April 1, 2021) at Citizens Bank Park, the Philadelphia Phillies will pay tribute to Pottstown High School special education teacher Arden Moore and 40 other designated “frontline heroes” being recognized with a special banner by the major league baseball team for their community contributions during the coronavirus pandemic. Moore has been teaching life skills to her students on every school day since August while receiving chemotherapy treatments, the Pottstown School District said. “There can never be enough gratitude shown to the extraordinary men and women who have been on the front lines since the onset of the pandemic,” according to Phillies’ marketing Vice President Michael Harris. “Their bravery and commitment to the community is remarkable. With the help of our fans, some of these amazing individuals who go above and beyond each day will now be honored in a unique and memorable way at Citizens Bank Park.”
