Pothole Palooza! Crews Filling, Fixing Them Locally

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Maintenance and contractor crews for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation are working this week on more than 60 state highways, including five in western Montgomery County, to fill potholes and repair other deteriorated pavement.

Due for repair work locally are U.S. Route 422 in Collegeville; Park Avenue, Upper Providence; 7th Avenue and Lewis Road, both in Limerick; and 2nd Avenue, Royersford.

Also scheduled for repairs elsewhere in the county are Route 152 in Ambler and Horsham; Doylestown Road, Montgomeryville; and Papermill Road, Cheltenham and Springfield.

Crews will restrict travel lanes on the highways to complete their patching effort. PennDOT is advising drivers to be alert for moving operations and expect intermittent lane closures and possible slowdowns near work crews. All activities depend on acceptable weather.

If you see a pothole that needs fixing, PennDOT reminds drivers to call 1-800-FIX-ROAD, or visit its website here and click on “Submit A Roadway Concern.”
