Retail Theft Trio Sought by North Coventry Police
NORTH COVENTRY PA – A trio allegedly involved in retail theft and apparently working as a team stole clothing Wednesday (March 10, 2021) shortly before 2:30 p.m. valued at $225 from the Dick’s Sporting Goods store in Coventry Mall on North Schuylkill Road, the North Coventry Police Department reported on its CrimeWatch website.
Its officers are looking for public help in identifying the suspects, two of whom are seen in a surveillance photo (at top).
The web report said “two females and one male entered the store together.” One of the women, identified with black and red hair, and wearing an black-and-tan hat, selected several pairs of Adidas-brand men’s pants. Police claimed she concealed them in a Disney Store shopping bag.
Police said the same woman “created a distraction with the security alarms near the mall entrance” of the store, and in doing so passed the shopping bag to the male suspect. He was dressed in a gray Nike “Just Do It” sweat shirt, and left the store at about 2:45 p.m. with the bagged merchandise without paying for it. Neither an identification for or role of the third suspect, a female, were mentioned.
“The suspects were seen leaving the scene in a white Chevrolet sedan with an unknown New Jersey registration,” the web report added.
Anyone with information regarding any of the three theft suspects is asked to call the department at 610-323-8360, or anonymously submit information using the CrimeWatch website’s Submit-A-Tip page, here.
