North Coventry Township Issues Own Boil Water Order

NORTH COVENTRY PA – Because some North Coventry property owners receive water supplied by the Pottstown Borough Authority, which experienced a water main break Wednesday (March 17, 2021) and issued a boil water order to those affected by it, the township Water Authority has concluded “there is an increased chance” its water may contain disease-causing organisms.

On Thursday (March 18, 2021) it also issued a boil water advisory to all township authority customers, effective until further notice.

“DO NOT DRINK YOUR WATER WITHOUT BOILING IT FIRST,” the township told customers. “Bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using; or use bottled water. You may use boiled or bottled water for brushing teeth, making ice, washing dishes, and food preparation,” it said.

The advisory remains in place until “after the completion of needed repairs to the water main, and completion of testing to ensure that the water meets the required standards,” North Coventry added. It asked those with questions to call the North Coventry Water Authority at 610-326-1064.
