Practice Now Over, Grandview Racing Opens Saturday

BECHTELSVILLE PA – Saturday’s (March 27, 2021) practice sessions at Grandview Speedway made for “a successful day” at the Passmore Road, Bechtelsville PA track, its officials said, with “near perfect weather conditions” and “more than 70 race cars on hand.” Now racers are getting ready for the fourth annual VP Race Fuels Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker on Saturday (April 3) at 7 p.m.

With $7,500 being offered to the winner of the 50-lap race, it pits small block modifieds against big blocks. Track visitors, newcomers, and veterans are expected to attempt qualifying for the event, which alone earns each racer $1,000. A full slate of qualifying heats and consolation events will be used to fill out the field on Grandview’s one-third-mile banked clay track.

A full show of Sportsman stock car racing rounds out the night. A rain date is planned April 10.

Adult admission will be $30; children age 6-11 will be charged $10; and those under 6 are admitted free. For those interested in visiting the pits without a NASCAR license, a pit fee of $40 will be charged. Pits open at 2 p.m.; the main spectator gate swings open at 5 p.m. Eleven time NASCAR Modified champion Craig Von Dohren will look to earn his 12th title this season.

Scheduled April 10 (Saturday) is the kickoff of the NASCAR Advance Auto Parks Weekly Series, featuring the T.P. Trailers Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman racers in action at 7 p.m. Adults are admitted for $15; children age 12 and younger enter for free. On April 11 (Sunday), Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Vintage action will start at 1 p.m.
