Alleged DUI Driver Arrested, NorCo Police Report
NORTH COVENTRY PA – A 56-year-old Norristown man has been arrested by the North Coventry Police Department for allegedly driving under the influence and other traffic-related charges following a stop within the township, the department reported Sunday (March 28, 2021) on its CrimeWatch website.
Rodney Mordan also faces charges for allegedly disregarding a traffic lane, changing lanes without using a turn signal, and speeding after police stopped the Nissan Altima officers said he was driving March 19 (Friday) eastbound on U.S. Route 422.
During the stop police indicated they identified Mordan as the driver, determined he was operating under influence, then arrested and transported him to the Pottstown police station for processing. Officers said Mordan was “later released to his mother.”
Charges were due to be filed in the court of Chester County Magisterial District Justice John Hipple, the report added. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 3, according to court records.
