Four More Lane Closures Expected This Week on 422

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Work on three separate projects on U.S. Route 422 will result in lane closures in both directions this week, beginning Monday (today; April 5, 2021), across portions of Montgomery and Chester counties, the King of Prussia-based District 6 office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

The work schedules and locations include:

  • Monday through Friday, April 5-9, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, a left- or right-lane closure on eastbound 422 between Park Road and Township Line Road, as well as at its Limerick and Sanatoga interchanges in Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove townships, for sign installation and line striping;
  • Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 2 p.m. the following afternoon, a left- or right-lane closure on westbound 422 between its Route 363 and Oaks interchanges in Lower Providence and Upper Providence townships, for concrete patching;
  • Monday through from 10 a.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, a left- or right-lane closure on eastbound 422 between its Oaks and Route 363 interchanges in Upper Providence and Lower Providence townships, for concrete patching; and
  • Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, a lane closure on 422 in both directions between Grosstown Road and Hanover Street in North Coventry and West Pottsgrove townships, for geotechnical drilling.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. Backups and delays will occur, the agency warned. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.
