Royersford Asks Its Residents for Earth Day Help

CLOSE-TO-EARTH-DAY CLEAN UP – Royersford residents are being encouraged to take to the borough’s streets, parks, and recreational areas beginning at 10 a.m. on April 24 (2021), the Saturday following the observance of April 22 (Thursday) as Earth Day, to help with a casual clean-up of those areas. Officials in the borough, on its Facebook page, asked the community “to grab some friends and family, and walk around the borough picking up any trash you see laying around. If you need bags, we can help you; just let us know.” The borough said it considers the project “a great way to get outside, still be socially distant, and help our environment. We and Mother Nature truly appreciate any help you can offer!” Part of the April 24 effort is a scheduled volunteer cleaning of Victory Park (at top and below) from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department at 484-791-2127. The park officially will reopen May 1, the department reports.
