Four Days, Four 422 Lane Closures for Bridge Review

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Lane closures are scheduled in both directions on different portions of U.S. Route 422 each day from Monday through Thursday (April 12-15, 2021) across Lower Pottsgrove and North Coventry townships, according to the King of Prussia-based District 6 office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The closures will result from bridge inspection work, it added. The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect bridges at least once every two years, to ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.

The work schedules run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at all locations. They are:

  • Monday, April 12, a right-lane closure on eastbound 422 between its Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove;
  • Tuesday, April 13, a right-lane closure on westbound 422 between its Armand Hammer Boulevard and Sanatoga interchanges;
  • Wednesday, April 14, a right-lane closure on westbound 422 between its Armand Hammer Boulevard and Route 724 interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove; and
  • Thursday, April 15, a right-lane closure on westbound 422 between its Route 100 and Stowe interchanges in North Coventry.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. Slowdowns may occur, PennDOT said. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather. Work on these inspections will comply with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance.
