First Children Services Opens Local Office Saturday

POTTSTOWN PA – A free-to-the-public event to mark the opening of a new First Children Services-brand facility at its offices in the Sunnybrook Village Business Campus, 500 Creekside Dr. Ste. 511-519, is scheduled for outdoor spaces there Saturday (April 17, 2021) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event features family activities including a magic show, arts and crafts, give-aways, facility tours, and food. It will adhere to current federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines; social distancing protocols will be in place and masks must be worn at all times. Two company representatives and Pottstown Mayor Stephanie A. Henrick are featured speakers.

First Children Services provides special education and behavioral health diagnosis and treatment to individuals with autism spectrum disorders.

One in 54 parents in the U.S. receive an autism diagnosis for their child, according to a 2020 CDC report cited by the company. It said its facility will increase access to appropriate services, reduce wait times for autism diagnoses, and offer integrated programs to serve more than 150 children on the spectrum and their families across a six-county area.
