Two-Vehicle North Coventry Accident Reported Friday
NORTH COVENTRY PA – Pottstown area first responders were called Friday (April 23, 2021) at 6:16 a.m. by emergency dispatchers in Chester and Montgomery counties to the scene of a reported motor vehicle accident on or near the eastbound U.S. Route 422 entrance ramp at South Hanover Street in North Coventry Township.
According to Chester County’s active incidents webpage the accident involves two vehicles, one of them a Toyota 4Runner, in which an occupant reportedly trapped inside was being rescued. It was unknown at the time if anyone was injured or, if so, to what extent. At 6:37 a.m., however, county dispatchers indicated at least one responding unit was en route to a hospital.
The web report also stated the vehicles incurred multiple impacts with a guardrail, and that both were blocking a portion of the roadway where they came to rest.
North Coventry Fire Company apparatus and township police were said to be at the scene, and Montgomery County called fire police units from the Sanatoga, Ringing Hill and West End-Stowe fire companies to render assistance with traffic control.
Eastbound traffic on 422 near the scene was said to be moving slowly.
