Woman Arrested on Warrant; Identity Theft Charged

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A 49-year-old Allentown woman, wanted on an arrest warrant obtained by the Lower Pottsgrove Police Department for identity theft-related charges, was detained Thursday (April 29, 2021) by police in Bethlehem PA and later released to a township police sergeant, according to the department’s CrimeWatch website.

Althea Melissa Hammond faces three counts each of access device fraud, identity theft, and receiving stolen property, court records show. Details of the incident or incidents in which police allege she was involved were not available. The warrant was issued March 23.

Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 12 (Wednesday) in the Pottstown courtroom of Magisterial District Justice Edward C.
