Schwenkfelder Center Names Market’s Key Sponsor

PENNSBURG PA – The 2021 Penn Dry Goods Market – an annual event conducted by the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center (above), that offers antiques, vintage textiles, Americana, ephemera, rare books, and other items from a wide variety of dealers – will be presented virtually June 4-6 (2021; Friday to Sunday) with the returned presenting sponsorship of KeyBank.

It marks the fifth time the Cleveland OH-based bank, with 25 branch offices across the region, will serve as the market’s key sponsor.

Schwenkfelder has signed with Impact Events Group Inc. to produce this year’s market, with its user-friendly online platform.

In addition to KeyBank, the market has also secured sponsorships from other community businesses including Harleysville Bank, Univest, Jeffrey S. Evans & Associates, M. Finkel & Daughter, Master Supply Line, Meadowood Senior Living, Sassy Jacks Stitchery, Kathleen Staples and Associates, and Stauffer Glove & Safety.

Individual supporters have also provided sponsorships, including Ted Breckel, Susi Slocum, and members of the center’s Board of Directors. They are presenting education programs to offered June 4 and 5.

The Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center in Pennsburg explores themes of tolerance, migration, and heritage by highlighting the stories of the Pennsylvania Germans of the Perkiomen region, especially those of the Schwenkfelders. It was a Protestant reformation group, heavily persecuted in Europe, that came to southeastern Pennsylvania in the early 1700s seeking religious freedom.
