Regional Vocational Schools Win Rankings, Reviews
NEW YORK NY – Public School Review, a New York City-based publisher that offers detailed profiles of public schools and their surrounding communities in the United States, gives high rankings to two regional vocational schools and favorable reviews to two others, among 84 available in Pennsylvania, as part of a just-released “2021 Best Of …” article.
Among those earning rankings on the list, accompanied by their profiles, were:
- North Montco Technical Career Center in Lansdale, which serves the Perkiomen Valley School District, ranked at No. 22 of 84; and
- Chester County Technical College High School Pickering in Phoenixville, serving the Phoenixville Area School District, ranked at 32.
Receiving favorable reviews but not ranked were:
- Western Montgomery Career and Technology Center in Limerick, serving the Pottsgrove, Spring-Ford Area, and Upper Perkiomen school districts; and
- The East (in Oley) and West (in Leesport) campuses of the Berks Career and Technology Center, involving the Boyertown, Daniel Boone, and Oley Valley school districts.
During the 2020-2021 academic year, the publisher said, the 84 vocational public schools served a total of 11,568 students in Pennsylvania. Its rankings and reviews, it said, were in part on overall testing ranks using a school’s combined math and reading proficiency test scores.
