Volunteer Marshals Needed for Pottstown Criterium

POTTSTOWN PA – The borough’s 2021 edition of its state championship-caliber Criterium Bicycle Race will be held June 19 (2021, Saturday) from noon to 8 p.m. on a six-corner fast and flat tracks that starts from Pottstown’s east end, and the TriCounty Community Network is looking nor for capable volunteers to help with race operations.

Two volunteers are needed as race marshals for the Master 45, Pro Men, and kids’ races from 12:30-3 p.m.; three are needed for the Master 35, and Category 5 races from 2:45-5:15 p.m., and four volunteers are being sought for Category 3 and 4 races scheduled from 5-7:30 p.m. Responsibilities include pedestrian traffic management that keeps both racers and spectators safe. Marshals will report at planned times to the State Farm office at the corner of High and Mount Vernon streets.

All race marshals will receive gift bags valued at about $30.
