NorCo Police Report Hit-and-Run; Burglary Investigated

A hit-and-run crash reported Saturday (May 29, 2021 in North Coventry Township, and a burglary reported Thursday (May 27) in Douglass (Berks) Township, both are said to be under investigation by their respective police departments.

North Coventry hit-and-run

The hit-and-run crash involved a black 2004 GMC Envoy struck sometime between Friday (May 28) at 1 p.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. while it was parked in an alley on the 100 block of East Main Street, according to the North Coventry Police Department CrimeWatch website. The value of damage to the vehicle was estimated at $500, police added. Douglass (Berks) burglary

A burglary that occurred on an undetermined earlier date on Minotto Lane was reported Thursday (May 27) to the Douglass (Berks) Police Department, its CrimeWatch website said. As yet unidentified individuals broke into a building on property there and took multiple items, the victims said. An investigation is continuing, the department said.
