Troopers Seek Help in Latest, Earlier Vandalism
SKIPPACK PA – Damage to residential property on Northridge Road in Perkiomen Township, reported by a victim Sunday (June 6, 2021) at 10:17 a.m. to Pennsylvania State Police, has troopers asking for public help to identify a potential suspect in the incident.
More broadly, though, those stationed at the Troop K Barracks in Skippack said they also want to address what was described as “on-going concerns” regarding alleged vandalism in the surrounding housing community.
In the Sunday occurrence troopers were called to the home of a 60-year-old man, where a lumber post on his property, valued at $30, was damaged. According to a state police public information release issued Wednesday (June 9), troopers are looking for a white male suspect between ages 17 and 20 with “hair above the ears, thin in build, and has two rubber bands around his left arm.” No photos were made available.
If arrested, the suspect possibly faces a charge of criminal mischief involving property valued at $1,000 or less, the report indicated.
Troopers also hope area residents can supply leads in earlier incidents “of possible teenagers in groups vandalizing various property” in the same and adjacent residential neighborhoods. Anyone with information in this or other incidents is asked to call the Bridge Road barracks at 610-584-1250.
