Sanatoga Springs, Cable Hearing on Limerick Agenda

LIMERICK PA – Another proposal to develop vacant land bordering West Lightcap Road, across from and south of Costco, and Evergreen Road in Limerick is scheduled to be discussed when the township Board of Supervisors meets Tuesday (tonight, June 15, 2021) at 7 p.m. in the municipal building, 646 W. Ridge Pike.

Labeled as “Sanatoga Springs, Phase II,” the board will revisit the proposal after its introduction in March. Latest plans call for a mixed-use project that places greater emphasis on residential units and reduces the amount of commercial space that was suggested in proposals seen during 2011 and 2014. Neither of those were built.

Also Tuesday, according to the board’s agenda, supervisors are scheduled to:

  • Conduct a public hearing that would authorize renewal of a non-exclusive cable franchise agreement between the township and Comcast of Southeastern Pennsylvania LLC. The contract would allow Comcast to continue providing cable-delivered services, such as television and internet, to new and existing customers. The township receives payments from Comcast for the privilege;
  • Approve the appointment and administer the oath of office to a new police department officer;
  • Review results of the township’s 2020 financial audit; and
  • Discuss proposed usage for Limerick Community Park.

The meeting is free to attend and open to the public. In addition to its in-person session, the board will live-stream the meeting on the township Facebook page, here. A copy of the meeting agenda is available for download from the township website, here.
