Borough Begins Seasonal Hydrant Flushing Monday

POTTSTOWN PA – Spring day-time flushing of Pottstown Borough’s public water system is scheduled to begin Monday (June 21, 2021) and is expected to last for about five weeks, the borough told water system customers on its website.

Flushing will be conducted weekdays between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The work may cause water from the tap to appear brown- or rust-colored. If that occurs, the borough advised Tuesday (June 16), “run the cold water for a few minutes until it is clear.”

For more information or answers to questions about the flushing, call the borough Public Works Department at 610-970-6527.
