Cyclist Injured Thursday in Sanatoga Collision

INJURED IN ACCIDENT – One man was injured in a motorcycle-truck collision (at top) that occurred Thursday (June 17, 2021) shortly before 5 a.m. on South Sanatoga Road, south of East High Street, in Lower Pottsgrove Township. The motorcycle driver, who police said was wearing a helmet at the time, received leg and other injuries. He was transported to the trauma center at Reading Hospital, officials reported at the scene. Neither of the drivers involved were identified and few details were available, as township Police Department officers (above) continued their investigation. Goodwill Ambulance emergency medical personnel (below) could be seen caring for and listening to the victim as he laid near a guard rail on the west shoulder of the road. Volunteers from the Sanatoga and Ringing Hill fire companies and fire police units responded to assist. South Sanatoga Road was blocked and traffic around it detoured for about 50 minutes during the incident.
