Downed Wire Prompts Response on East High Street

SANATOGA PA – A downed electrical wire reported Monday (June 28, 2021) at 7:38 a.m. outside the Sunnyville II Office Complex at 1954 E. High St. in Sanatoga village prompted Montgomery County emergency dispatchers to send Sanatoga and Ringing Hill fire companies’ equipment and volunteers to the scene. There were concerns about the potential of an electrical fire, dispatchers noted.

A caller to the county acknowledged the wire was not arcing or sparking, and no fire was visible. A PECO Energy crew arrived quickly to handle the wire (at top and below).

Downed Wire Prompts Response on East High Street

A portion of the right lane of East High in front of the offices was closed by fire police, and traffic flowed around it. Responders left the scene 21 minutes later, at 7:59 a.m.
