422 Lane Closure Scheduled Weekdays to Replace Pipe

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – U.S. Route 422 travelers will encounter weekday lane closures from Wednesday (July 7, 2021) through July 16 (Friday) in both directions between the Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges in Lower Pottsgrove Township, so workers can replace pipes under bridges being reconstructed at Park Road and South Pleasant View Road (at top), the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reported..

Scheduled daily work times are:

  • On eastbound 422, from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning; and
  • Westbound, from 7 p.m. to 2 p.m. the following afternoon.

Additionally, on July 21 and July 22 (Wednesday and Thursday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., 422 drivers can expect periodic 15-minute traffic stoppages in both directions between the Sanatoga and Armand Hammer Boulevard interchanges for bridge beam installation.

Drivers are advised to use an allow extra time when traveling through the work areas, because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.

H&K Group, Inc. of Skippack, Montgomery County is the general contractor on the $7.1 million project. It is expected to finish in late 2022.
