YWCA Tri-County Adult Education Begins July 12

POTTSTOWN PA – Enrollment is open now for the next 12-week session of adult basic education and adult secondary education classes, scheduled to begin July 12 (2021; Monday), at YWCA Tri-County Area locations in Pottstown and Norristown, the agency said.

Classes are free to all Pennsylvania residents age 17 and older who lack a high school diploma and who are not enrolled in any public or private post-secondary school. Classes are held mornings, afternoons, and evenings Mondays through Thursdays at 724 N. Adams St., Pottstown, and 1430 DeKalb St., Norristown. For enrollment information, call the YWCA at 610-326-7323.

Adult education helps students improve their skills in basic academic subjects, potentially leading toward a Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma. The YWCA’s education and training center also offers state-approved testing.

Both locations also provide English-as-a-second-language classes for all levels of English learners.
