Pottstown Runner Competes in National Championship
NATIONAL PLACEMENT – Pottstown High School 2021 graduate Darius Smallwood (at top) earned national honors, the Pottstown School District reported, by placing sixth in the country with a time of 1:52.55 in the 800-meter race held at the National Scholastic Athletics Foundation Outdoor National Track Meet. The event, described as “a high school national championship like none other in the sport’s history,” was held Wednesday through Saturday (June 30-July 4, 2021) at the University of Oregon.
