POTTSTOWN PA – Leadership TriCounty, the professional development program that during a period of two decades has prepared more than 250 community members for leadership positions in western Montgomery, southeastern Berks, and northern Chester counties, is launching its Class of 2022 with an enrollment of 15 representatives of area companies and organizations.

Attendance for the coming 10 months of leadership sessions, sponsored by the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce, was announced Tuesday (July 20, 2021).

Companies registering participants are Boyertown Oil & Propane, Cornerstone Advisors Asset Management, Dana Incorporated, Exelon, Fierce Real Estate Corp., Pottsgrove School District, Pottstown Borough, Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation, Schultz Technology, Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritage Area, Sealstrip Corporation, the chamber, Victory Bank (with two participants), and Village Architecture and Preservation.

Each participant will be equipped with the personal skills development, and an understanding of problems, opportunities, and resources that exist within TriCounty communities, to enhance their effectiveness in assuming responsible and demanding roles to solve local challenges, the chamber noted.

Class of 2022 members will be involved in specialized coaching, group engagement activities, the use of behavioral self-assessment tools and a related group workshop, a low-ropes course team-building activity, the Leadership Game, diversity and inclusion training that results in a completion certificate, community site visits, presentations and discussions with community leaders, volunteer engagement and a board development workshop, and non-profit engagement and completion of a project.

Under an agreement with the chamber, those who complete Leadership TriCounty will receive three credits from Alvernia University that can be used towards a master’s or bachelor’s degree. They’ll participate in “Shift,” the August Leadercast 2021 event featuring a dozen selected presenters. Their companies or organizations will receive a one-hour team session with growth and success coach Jenna Armato. She also will serve as the class director.
