Family Services Offers ‘Positive Parenting’ in August
EAGLEVILLE PA – A virtual “positive parenting program” that intends to offer “simple, practical, and proven-effective strategies that help parents” raise their families is scheduled to begin Aug. 3 from noon to 1 p.m. and continue every Tuesday during August. Space is limited, but registrations are being accepted now by e-mail at the program’s sponsor, Family Services of Montgomery County.
Because “the COVID-19 pandemic has raised new parenting challenges,” the organization believes many parents can benefit from suggestions that help raise confident children, set family routines and rules that everyone can follow, and balance work and family life with less stress. The program’s free sessions are open to all Montgomery County parents and caregivers of children from infants to age 18.
Family Services, which operates offices in Sanatoga, specializes “in providing compassionate support and trustworthy guidance to Montgomery County individuals and families in need.” Registration for the online program, and more information, is available from Kristian DeJesus by calling 610-326-1610 Ext. 324, or by sending an e-mail to TripleP@fsmontco.org.
