Douglassville Man Charged with DUI in Tree Accident

ROBESON PA – A 54-year-old Douglassville man has been arrested by Robeson Township Police Department officers on alcohol-related charges, following a confirmation of breath test results, its CrimeWatch website announced Monday (July 26, 2021).

Police responded June 19 (Saturday) to the 100 block of Rock Hollow Road in the township on a report on a single-vehicle accident involving a tree. They identified the operator, and during the course of their investigation detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. At the time he was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving while under the influence.

Later results of the breath test showed a result of .219 percent, a figure that exceeds the allowable limit. He also was charged with failure to drive his vehicle at a safe speed.
