Moon Selected as Director of MCCC’s Baker Center

BLUE BELL PA – Scott Moon of Wayne (at top), a professional with a successful record of launching new business initiatives across several industries, was introduced Thursday (Aug. 5, 2021) as the new executive director of the Baker Center of Excellence for Employee Ownership and Business Transformation at Montgomery County Community College.

In the position, Moon will be responsible for leading the center and its endeavors to increase awareness and adoption of the employee-ownership model for privately held companies in Montgomery County and across the Delaware Valley.

The college said Moon joins it with a successful track record of launching new business initiatives across a variety of industries. He previously worked with Citibank, Dell, and Ernst & Young. Most recently, Moon served as a vice president for Goldman Sachs. Earlier he launched the sales and business development function for Chatham Financial Corporation, a Pennsylvania-based, 100-percent-employee-owned company.

“We’re pleased to have Scott join our Montco family. With his business acumen and experience, he will be a dynamic leader in the development of the Baker Center and its resources to assist companies in the region,” college Dean of Workforce and Economic Development Kyle Longacre said.

Moon holds a master of business administration from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis. He graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor of science in business administration.
