Occupants Injured in Friday Lower Pottsgrove Accident
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A motor vehicle accident (at top) that occurred Friday (Aug. 20, 2021) at about 9:19 a.m. near the intersection of Medical Drive and Armand Hammer Boulevard in Lower Pottsgrove Township resulted in injuries that required the assistance of Goodwill Ambulance emergency medical services personnel.
A four-door Chevrolet Cruze sedan carrying a driver and an unknown number of passengers came to rest against a guardrail and utility pole on the west shoulder of the boulevard, just south of the intersection. Its airbags apparently deployed during the collision (below). The ambulance transported at least one victim to a nearby facility for medical treatment.
The accident and its cause was being investigated by two Lower Pottsgrove Police Department officers. No report on the incident was immediately available.
Additionally responding to the accident were firefighters and fire police from the Sanatoga and Ringing Hill fire companies. Fire-fighting equipment apparently was not needed, and left the area soon after arrival.
Fire police were on-site for more than a half-hour directing traffic – moving north and south on Armand Hammer, and east into or west out of Medical Drive – within a single lane around the car and emergency vehicles. Hawks Towing and Recovery removed the vehicle.
