Jackpot Ticket Sold in Oaks Wins $43,333 Share
OAKS PA – A customer in the Wawa store at 1600 Egypt Rd., Oaks, is one of three people likely to become richer fast, having won a share of a $130,000 winning Treasure Hunt Jackpot lottery ticket, the Pennsylvania Lottery declared Thursday (Aug. 26, 2021).
Two other similarly winning jackpot tickets were sold in Selinsgrove, Synder County, and Arnold, Westmoreland County. Each matched all five numbers drawn Wednesday (Aug. 25) – 8, 9, 20, 25, and 27 – for individual prizes of $43,333.50, less taxes or other withholdings. More than 39,150 other Treasure Hunt tickets also won lesser prizes Wednesday.
Prizes must be claimed and the tickets validated before winners can be identified. Treasure Hunt winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winners are advised to immediately sign the back of their ticket and call the Lottery at 800-692-7481, its officials added.
Treasure Hunt debuted in May 2007 and is drawn during the day, seven days a week. Players pay $1 and select five numbers from 1 to 30. They can select their own numbers, or opt for computer-selected quick picks. All five numbers drawn must match to win the jackpot; matching two, three or four numbers wins smaller amounts.
Treasure Hunt drawings are held seven days a week. Players must be age 18 or older.
