AACA Library Hosts Sept. 11 ‘Music and Motors’ Event

HERSHEY PA – The library and research center of the Antique Automobile Club of America will host a rockin’ “Music and Motors” event Sept. 11 (2021, Saturday) from noon to 6 p.m. at the club’s newly renovated home, 800 W. Hersheypark Dr. The event intends to combine the thrills of a car show with the electrifying energy of a concert to raise money for America’s automotive library.

Admission costs $15 per person, or $15 per preregistered vehicle. Vehicles registered on the day of the show will be charged a $20 fee. This is not a traditional club car show with rules, regulations, and class judging. Instead, it’s an open, cruise-in type show with no restrictions on age or type of vehicle. Cars, trucks, and motorcycles of all years, makes and models, as well as hot rods and kit cars, are encouraged to attend. The car show will involve up to 100 local vehicles, with owners gathering to show off their rides and hang out.

The musical portion is headlined by local alternative rock standouts, “Observe the 93rd” and “Lives Lost” (formerly known as “Lasciate”), with direct support from local favorites “Hot & Dangerous” (classic rock covers), “Ben Ginder Group” (blues and rock), and Cody Kilburn (alternative).

Automotive artist Dan Reed, and acrylic painter Sam G, will sell their artwork. There will also be a raffle with gift cards, services, and gift baskets as prizes.

Food truck vendors will include Blazing Swine BBQ, Cheezy Grill LLC, Papa Sneaux (Cajun and snowballs), River Street Sweets (a dessert truck) and Poncho’s Backyard Grubbin’, alongside veteran-owned Tattered Flag Brewing Co.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the AACA Library and Research Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of automotive history and fostering a public interest in the old car hobby. Event sponsors are 717 Tattoo, The Hershey Italian Lodge, Karn’s Foods, Pinup Hair Studio, Pinup Hair Studio Hummelstown, and Wilhelm’s Hardware.
