Over 3 Days, Casino Patrons Leave 2 Surprises Behind
KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Neither a betting parlor floor or, worse, a public bathroom, are the smartest places to leave behind suspected drugs for later discovery by law enforcers. Yet troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police Troop K Barracks in Skippack reported Friday (Sept. 10, 2021) that’s what happened twice during the past three days inside the Valley Forge Casino Resort, 1160 First Ave.
On Wednesday (Sept. 8) at 2:50 a.m., troopers working at the casino on behalf of the Pennsylvania Bureau of Gaming Enforcement said a suspect in the casino FanDuel sportsbook area “dropped an object onto the floor” there, and then left. Eventually, they added, the object was discovered by members of the casino security staff, who turned it over at the troopers’ office.
The object contained “an unknown substance” that merited a continuing investigation, they noted, and labeled the incident as one involving “drug possession.”
Then on Thursday (Sept. 9) at 7:36 p.m., state police were contacted to investigate “possible drugs and paraphernalia found within the casino bathroom.” That incident is under investigation too.
No suspects were identified in either case.
