Observe Hispanic Heritage Month Through Oct. 15

A CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION – The Spring-Ford Area School District observance of Hispanic Heritage Month began Wednesday (Sept. 15, 2021), its weekly newsletter reported, and like the month-long event itself, runs through Oct. 15. The observance launched in mid-September because that marks the anniversaries of independence for several Latin American countries, the district explained. Some district teachers are likely to plan classroom activities that coincide with the observance. Area residents can enjoy the month with events and performances every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. from the virtual Latino Arts Festival conducted by the Esperanza Arts Center.
