Township Changed Thursday Meeting Location, Time
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – The township on Thursday (Sept. 23, 2021) at 2:20 p.m. made a “last-minute” relocation which moved that night’s meeting of the Lower Pottsgrove Board of Commissioners from Sunnybrook Ballroom to the township municipal building on Buchert Road.
Rain-related problems at Sunnybrook made it unsuitable for use, officials said. Signs were posted on its doors that also announced the unexpected change.
Additionally, according to township Secretary Katie Vlahos, the meeting start was delayed 15 minutes, from 7 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., to give anyone who traveled to Sunnybrook sufficient time to attend the session in the municipal building conference room.
The regularly scheduled commissioners’ meeting was otherwise held without problems. Board President Bruce Foltz apologized to its audience “for the inconvenience” as the meeting opened, and with a smile added, “we can’t control the weather.”
