Raised Pavement Markers Scheduled for Route 29
KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Overnight lane closures are planned Sunday through Friday (Sept. 26 to Oct. 1, 2021), from 10 a.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, on Route 29 between Ott Road and Route 73 across Perkiomen and Lower Frederick townships, and Schwenksville Borough, to install raised pavement markers, the District 6 office of the state Department of Transportation in King of Prussia said.
The installations are intended as safety enhancements to improve travel and reduce high-speed crashes
Portions of four other roads across the five-county Philadelphia region are receiving similar treatments and also will be subject to night-time lane closures, PennDOT reported. Penn Line Service Inc. of Scottdale PA is the general contractor on the $132,954 project, which is expected to be completed in Fall 2022.
All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather. PennDOT suggested drivers allow extra time when traveling through the work areas, because backups and delays may occur.
