Update: Lower Frederick Fest Celebrates Season

LOWER FREDERICK PA – Lower Frederick’s Parks and Recreation Board will present its free Fall Fest on Saturday (Oct. 16 (2021) from 1-3 p.m., an event board Chair Pam Reich says will fill the township’s Foy Park, on Spring Mount Road in Perkiomenville, with hours of supervised fun, first-responder equipment kids will find fascinating, and plenty of things to do and eat.

This event has been added to The Posts calendar.

Visitors can get in some free, supervised kayaking on Perkiomen Creek. The event also features face painting, a moon bounce, music; police, fire company and emergency medical services equipment; and pumpkin painting. Exhibits and crafts will be presented by Lower Frederick’s Environmental Advisory Council.

And when you’re hungry or thirsty, the fest offers free popcorn and cider.

The township is getting help for this activity too. Sacks & Sons is providing hayrides, the Engage Arts Studio will offer free crafts, and the Downtown Scoop Ice Cream Truck will sell cool treats.
