Commissioners Change November Meeting Date

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Lower Pottsgrove’s Board of Commissioners changed the date of its first meeting in November, welcomed a new employee to the township staff, approved a sewer agreement for a private residence, and met in an executive session to discuss two topics. All were part of what its members considered routine business items during their Oct. 4 (2021; Monday) meeting.

The five commissioners cast unanimous votes on three items, without comment:

Board meeting change

The date for November’s first board meeting was changed from the regularly scheduled and previously announced first Monday of the month, Nov. 1, to Nov. 4 (Thursday). The meeting will be held at Sunnybrook Ballroom, North Sunnybrook Rd., at 7 p.m. No explanation for the change was offered. As of Monday (Oct. 18) at 4 p.m., the calendar on the township website did not reflect the change.

The board’s second meeting of the month remains unchanged: Nov. 18 (Thursday) at 7 p.m., also at Sunnybrook.

New employee welcomed

Kerry Whitehead was approved to be hired as a temporary part-time employee in administration. She attended the Oct. 4 meeting and was introduced to the board by township Manager Ed Wagner.

Sewer agreement

A sanitary sewer and access easement agreement was approved for a private residence at 1834 N. Pleasant View Rd.

Executive session held

No vote was required by board members for an announcement by township Solicitor Charles Garner Jr. that commissioners had legally met in a closed-door executive session before the start of their Oct. 4 regular meeting. Garner said the board discussed topics related to personnel and real estate matters, and that it took no action on them during the session.
