PennDOT Looks to Hire Help at Nov. 23 Job Fair
NORRISTOWN PA – A job fair conducted by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, in which it looks to fill a variety of openings, is scheduled to be held Nov. 23 (2021; Tuesday) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the agency’s Montgomery County Maintenance facility, Swede Road and Johnson Highway. District and county employees will be available to answer questions and help interested participants.
There’s a demand for applicants with commercial drivers’ licenses capable of driving manual transmission vehicles. PennDOT said it will conduct on-the-spot interviews for those operators, and also administer a driving test. Those applicants should bring their current driver’s license and medical card to the job fair.
The event also welcomes those interested in careers with PennDOT in both civil and non-civil service positions. Personnel will help them navigate through the agency’s electronic application system.
All applicants must enter the parking lot off Swede Road and advised to bring an updated copy of their resume. Anyone unable to attend the job fair can see positions available in the Philadelphia region at the state’s employment website, here, and submit an application online.
PennDOT does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, age, or disability. Any person requiring special accommodations is asked to contact the PennDOT’s Montgomery County office at 610-275-2368 before the event.
