Troopers: Welding Cables Stolen, Golf Cart Found
SKIPPACK PA – A theft of welding cables is being investigated in Skippack Township by Pennsylvania State Police from the Troop K Barracks in Skippack, it reported Monday (Nov. 15, 2021).
Troopers, in a public information release, said cables owned by metal fabricators The Chowns Group of Schwenksville were stolen Tuesday (Nov. 9) at around 4:30 a.m. from a motor vehicle on Cressman Road. The cables’ value was estimated at $1,000. The release did not indicate if potential suspects had been identified.
Also Monday, troopers said a golf cart used to transport people and goods that had been stolen Oct. 15 from Ott’s Exotic Plants on Gravel Pike in Schwenksville was found and recovered.
Troopers said two unknown actors were seen taking the cart, the value of which was estimated at $3,500. They did not indicate whether the actors had yet been identified or arrested. The cart, however, was recovered by Ott’s from a site near the intersection of Bauman and Markley roads in Perkiomen Township. The vehicle’s condition when recovered was not reported.
