
Schwenkfelder Library Plans Dec. 4-5 Christmas Market
PENNSBURG PA – A variety of gifts, books, and décor items, including locally made folk art inspired by the area’s Pennsylvania Dutch heritage, will be offered for sale Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 4 and 5, 2021) during the annual Christmas Market of the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center, 105 Seminary St.
Five vendors – Pam Smith Jewelry, Robert Cochran Woodworking, Diana Adams Knit & Crochet, Marianne Brodlo Jewelry, and Yoder Folk Art – will be on hand with one-of-a-kind gifts. Ivan Hoyt hex-related merchandise also will be available in the gift shop. The market operates Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. No admission fee is charged.
Shoppers can enjoy musical performances on both days. Scheduled are:
- Carols played by student pianists from Grace Notes Piano Studio in East Greenville, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the museum’s Putz exhibit;
- Musician and singer Dave Kline throughout the market’s Sunday hours, and in concert from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the museum’s Conestoga Wagon; and
- From 3-4 p.m., Kline will participate in a Belsnickel Nacht reading and discuss “Der Belsnickel Suite,” the world’s first and only full PA German symphonic suite.
