
Senators Plan Public Hearing on Drug Treatment
READING PA – A public hearing on policies to evaluate and improve Pennsylvania drug treatment centers, conducted by 44th District state Sen. Katie Muth, chair of the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Policy Committee, and Sens. Judy Schwank and Christine Tartaglione is scheduled for Monday (Dec. 6, 2021) at 10 a.m. in the Reading Area Community College Schmidt Technology Center, 10 S. 2nd St.
The policy hearing is expected to feature testimony from panels that will include representatives from the Opioid Crisis Action Network, the Self Help Movement, the Caron Foundation, the Council on Chemical Abuse, and the state Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs. The session will be available live, as well as virtually on Zoom. Interested participants can register in advance, here.

Muth’s district includes, in part, Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, and Upper Providence townships, and Royersford and Collegeville boroughs in Montgomery County; Amity and Douglass townships in Berks County; and North Coventry and East Coventry townships, and Spring City and Elverson boroughs in Chester County. Her local office is located in Royersford.
