PerkUp Received $10,000 Verizon Grant Friday

EAST GREENVILLE PA – PerkUp Corp., the non-profit entity created to promote and act on the comprehensive community and economic development plan created to broadly address community and business needs in the Upper Perkiomen Valley, received a $10,000 grant Friday (Dec. 3, 2021) from the Verizon Foundation.

The Verizon grant is intended to assist in the plan’s goals to “protect and economically leverage natural resources, encourage business development, and provide local education opportunities.” PerkUp began as a project of the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce (at top), and continues with its support.

On hand for the grant presentation, made in Harrisburg, were chamber Executive Director Allison Louis, Verizon Government Relations Director Frank Buzydlowski, state 24th District Sen. Bob Mensch, and state 131st House District Rep. Rep. Milou Mackenzie.
