Locally Tied Developer Starts Jenkintown Project
JENKINTOWN PA – Galman Group, a real estate development and management company that operates multi-family properties in Stowe, Pottstown, Royersford, and other locations across Montgomery County, has broken ground on a $30-million residential project at the Pavilion in Jenkintown. It’s intended to re-position the Pavilion as a mixed-use town center, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported.
Journal reporter Natalie Kostelni wrote that the new apartments-and-townhomes development will be created on 3.8 acres on Old York Road in Jenkintown with a 130,000-square-foot building. It is expected to include 107 rental units, to be called the Flats at the Pavilion Town Center.
The project represents part of a continuing trend among developers to concentrate several property uses in a single area to create “denser, more walkable environments,” Kostelni’s story added.
Galman Group’s local properties include the Pottsgrove Townhomes on Jay Street in Stowe, Hillside Apartments on Hillside Drive in Pottstown, and Spruce Court Apartments on Spruce Street in Royersford.
