The hotel, formerly branded as a Comfort Inn, began welcoming guests under the Marriott banner during August.

The 118-room property is owned by Pottstown Lodging Partners LP and managed by Infinity Hotel Group LLC. Its renovations (at left and below) included the lobby and public area, dining room, fitness center, business center, guest rooms, and décor, the chamber reported. It also offers an outdoor patio with fire pit, an outdoor swimming pool, and a meeting and event room that accommodates up to 40 people.

Among those attending the ribbon-cutting were Fairfield Inn and Suites owners Mayur Chheda and Mital Chheda, members of their hotel staff, state Rep. Tim Hennessey, Pottstown Mayor Stephanie Henrick, chamber President Eileen Dautrich, and Pottstown Area Economic Development Executive Director Peggy Lee-Clark.

Fairfield Inn and Suites Director of Sales David Drubin and General Manager Brian Cottman offered tours of the hotel during the evening event, accompanied by a light reception.
