Lower Pottsgrove Moves Three Township Meetings Online

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Formats for the January meetings of Lower Pottsgrove’s Sewer Authority and Planning Commission, as well as the second meeting of its Board of Commissioners, all have been changed “due to the recent surge in COVID-related cases that are being reported in our area,” the township announced in a legal advertisement published Thursday (Jan. 2, 2022) on its behalf.

Authority members will meet Jan. 10 (2022; Monday) at 6:30 p.m. as scheduled. Rather than conduct business in person at the municipal building, however, its participants will migrate to the Zoom conferencing platform. The Zoom link for public attendance at the meeting is expected to be made available Monday morning on the township website, here.

A copy of the authority’s meeting agenda is already available online, here. Part of the meeting will involve the board’s annually required reorganization.

Planning Commission members likewise will meet as scheduled Jan. 18 (Tuesday) at 6:30 p.m., also on Zoom. It is changing location from the previously planned in-person meeting at The Sunnybrook Ballroom, North Sunnybrook Road. The posting of its agenda and a Zoom link for the meeting likely will not be available on the township website until later this week.

Finally, the Board of Commissioners’ second meeting will be held as scheduled Jan. 20 (Thursday) at 6:30 p.m. Like the Planning Commission it would have been conducted at Sunnybrook, but will head online too. Its Zoom link and agenda will likely be available during the following week.

The Buchert Road municipal building itself was abruptly closed Wednesday (Jan. 5, 2022) before mid-day, and according to the township will not reopen until Monday at 8 a.m. No changes have been announced to those plans.
