College Plans Pottstown, Blue Bell Vaccine Clinics

POTTSTOWN PA – Montgomery County Community College, which has been designated by the U.S. Department of Education as a Vaccine Champion College, will partner with Giant Pharmacy to hold two free walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics for community residents. Both scheduled for late January in Blue Bell and Pottstown, the college said Thursday (Jan. 13, 2022).

Its first clinic is planned for Jan. 24 (Monday) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the atrium of MCCC’s Advanced Technology Center, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.

The second is set for Jan. 26 (Wednesday) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at MCCC’s North Hall gallery, 16 E. High St., Pottstown. Parking is available at MCCC’s South Hall building, 101 College Dr., Pottstown; those who attend can walk a short distance through the tunnel to North Hall.

Public bus transportation is available to both MCCC campuses. Walk-ins are welcome. No appointments are necessary for the vaccines. Giant Pharmacy will administer Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccines, in both first and second doses, as well as boosters. COVID testing will not be available.

Masks are required for all indoor MCCC facilities regardless of individual vaccination status. For additional information on vaccine eligibility, visit the Centers for Disease Control’s website.

As a Vaccine Champion College, MCCC hosted vaccine clinics throughout 2021 and now into 2022 to help bring vaccines to students, employees and community members.
