Pottstown Active Adult Center Closed Monday

POTTSTOWN PA – With the expectation of low temperatures and the possibility of between 3 and 6 inches of snowfall Monday (Jan. 17, 2022) the TriCounty Active Adult Center, 288 Moser Rd., announced in advance its plans to remain closed that day. It canceled all in-person programming, but said virtual classes will run as scheduled.

Because no lunch would be available to be served Monday, the center distributed lunches to both Friday and Monday recipients on Friday (Jan. 14) afternoon.

The center also reminded patrons that it closes “whenever we think conditions are questionable” as a way to keep staff members, volunteers and guests safe. “We want to make sure our parking lot, driveways, and sidewalks are clear before encouraging people to leave their homes,” it noted. The center said it is likely to be closed on days when the Pottstown schools are closed or experience a 2-hour delay.

Center closing notices usually are announced on WFMZ-TV (channel 69, channel 15 in Pottstown) and its website here; as messages on its phone system at 610-323-5009; in notices on its website here, as well as that of the Pottstown School District, here; and on its Facebook page here.
