Driver at Wawa Left Quickly After Parking Crash

SKIPPACK PA – The owner of a 2013-model Lincoln Continental MKZ emerged Wednesday (Jan. 12, 2022) at about 8:49 a.m. from the Wawa store at 4121 Skippack Pike to find the car’s left rear quarter panel damaged. An investigation by Pennsylvania State Police from the Troop K Barracks in Skippack indicated the parked Lincoln had been hit by another vehicle and its unidentified driver, troopers reported.

The Lincoln owner had ducked into the Wawa, and left it legally parked and unoccupied in a stall within the Wawa parking lot, troopers stated. The driver of the unidentified car “attempted to park in a no-parking zone” next to the Lincoln, they alleged; crashed into it, and then “fled the scene in an unknown direction.”

State police have labeled the incident as a hit-and-run case, and said if the unidentified driver is located he or she would be cited for careless driving and possibly other charges.
