State Police Investigate Two Burglaries in Salford
SALFORD PA – Investigations are continuing into two commercial burglaries that attracted law enforcement attention on the same day earlier this month within Salford Township, Pennsylvania State Police from the Troop K Barracks in Skippack reported Monday (Jan. 24, 2022). Both involved the use of force to gain entry, they added.
The first, according to a public information release, was said to have occurred Jan. 8 (Saturday) at about 4:48 a.m. at the Laura’s II Pizzeria and Restaurant, 20 Ridge Rd.
There the actor “gained access to the restaurant through the front kitchen door,” troopers wrote. The individual “entered the restaurant but did not take anything,” and subsequently “left the scene in an unknown direction,” the release stated.
Troopers responded to the second burglary, discovered also on Jan. 8 at about 10:50 a.m., at the Dutch Country Playhouse Inc., 795 Ridge Rd. An individual gained entry there and created damage “in the box office area with a broken door and door frame.” The value of the damage was estimated at about $500.
A potential suspect has been identified in the second incident, troopers reported.
