Minor Injuries Suffered in Lower Frederick Crash

LOWER FREDERICK PA – A 68-year-old Norristown man suffered minor injuries during a single vehicle accident on Smith Road, north of Cemetery Road, in Lower Frederick Township, Pennsylvania State Police from the Troop K Barracks in Skippack reported Wednesday (Jan. 26, 2022).

Troopers said the accident occurred Friday (Jan. 21) at about 9:57 p.m., as the man was driving a 2010-model Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck northbound in the right lane of Smith Road. The truck traveled into the left lane and struck a tree on the left side of the roadway “with the entire front of the vehicle,” the report stated.

The truck was disabled and had to be towed from the scene. Plymouth Ambulance transported the victim to Grandview Hospital for treatment. He was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
